Josh hales from Louisville, Kentucky and graduated from Eastern KY University with a Bachelor’s degree in Emergency Medical Care. He served various fire and EMS departments across KY for more than a decade as a firefighter/paramedic. In 2009 Josh began his service as Special Agent in the U.S. State Department’s Bureau of Diplomatic Security. As a special agent, Josh oversaw complex international investigations into U.S. Passport fraud, Visa Fraud, as well as identity theft and human trafficking violations.
Josh also traveled the world performing protection assignments with Secretary Hilary Clinton and Secretary John Carey. Some of the other notable clients he has served in an executive protection role include the Dali Llama, Queen Rania, Prince William, and Prince Harry, several heads of NATO, and many other high-ranking U.S. and foreign government officials. Josh has spent a total of 2.5 years living in Iraq and working in other high-threat environments. He has received numerous awards for outstanding investigative and leadership accomplishments, as well as an award for saving the life of a colleague in Iraq.
Currently, Josh serves as a Detective for the Kentucky Attorney General’s office, where his primary function is to perform executive protection and threat assessments for the sitting Attorney General.
